As CEO of Chrysalis Courses, I’ve always believed our people are our greatest strength. Training and professional development have always been part of what we do, but I wanted to give more. I wanted our team to feel looked after as people, not just employees. That’s why we introduced Chrysalis Workplace.
We’re a team of about 20, and like many organisations, we sometimes struggled with communication and work–life balance. Things could get missed, and I often found myself glued to my phone, checking emails late at night. It wasn’t healthy, and I knew we needed a better way of working together.
Chrysalis Workplace gave us that. The workshops, self-help resources, and access to therapy made wellbeing part of our culture, not an afterthought. I told the team, “This isn’t about fixing problems. It’s about supporting you, so you can do your best work and feel your best too.”
The change has been noticeable. People are more open in conversations, and communication flows better across the team. I’ve seen colleagues who were once quiet in meetings step up with confidence, even leading presentations. That shift has been amazing to watch.
I’ve benefitted as well. I spend less time answering emails outside of work, which has helped me create healthier boundaries. That’s not just good for me, it sets the tone for the rest of the team.

For me, introducing Chrysalis Workplace was about showing our team that we care. We don’t just want to develop skills, we want to create an environment where people thrive.
